What to do first
Before assembling a xenogerm, check what the recipient already has. Implanting a new xenogerm replaces existing xenogenes; it is not a simple additive upgrade. Endogenes and xenogenes are different layers, and conflicts or metabolic limits must be considered before you commit.

Check what the implant will replace
Biotech distinguishes inherited endogenes from implanted xenogenes. A new xenogerm replaces the previous xenogene package, while endogenes can remain and be overridden by conflicts. Read the recipient’s actual genes rather than assuming their xenotype label describes the final result.
Gather and assemble the genes
Gather the gene packs needed for the intended package and check that the assembler can use them. Extraction is not a guarantee that one attempt will provide exactly the gene you want. Purchase or extraction options are inputs to the plan, not permission to skip the assembler’s requirements.
Clear implantation blockers
Review complexity and metabolic consequences before assembling. A powerful-looking set can impose food demands or conflicts that your colony is not ready to support. Archite-related requirements and other restrictions need to be read in the current interface; do not treat every gene as interchangeable.
Check the result before another implant
Before implantation, preserve your intended gene list and check the medical requirements. Afterward, inspect active and overridden genes before considering another implant.
