Short answer
The useful part first.
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is scheduled to unlock at 16:00 UTC on August 13, 2026. That is 9:00 AM PDT, 12:00 PM EDT, 5:00 PM BST, and 6:00 PM CEST. In China it is midnight at the start of August 14. The US PlayStation listing explicitly shows 4:00 PM UTC.
Release time by region
Preload status by platform
Confirmed in the official launch brief
- PlayStation 5
- Preload available; the final launch build was scheduled one hour before launch.
- Xbox Series X|S
- Preload was expected from 12:00 PM BST on August 13.
- Epic Games Store
- No preload; download begins when the game unlocks.
Still conditional at our check
- Steam
- Team17 said it was still discussing preload with Valve and would update players if it became available.
- Timing changes
- The official post says availability may change, so recheck the store client before planning around a download.
Why do some pages still say June 18?
June 18 was the original digital launch date. Team17 announced on June 2 that the game was delayed to August 13 so the team could work on performance, stability, and overall quality. A page that still says June 18 is using superseded information.
Freshness warning
This page was checked before the unlock. After 16:00 UTC, the useful question changes from “when does it release?” to “is the final build live on my platform?” Store status and official launch posts should then take priority over this preload snapshot.
